Why I Blog

By:  K.H. Smith

So since starting my blog,  I have mentioned my blog to some friends and family members.  I am repeatedly asked why I blog??  Since I am just starting out on my blogging adventure, why not share what this blog is about and why I started it in the first place.

First, I am passionate about being money conscience.  I am inspired by my personal journey to be debt-free and I want to share that inspiration with others.   Anyone can get a handle on their finances, build an emergency fund, and get out of debt. I believe that! I want to show people how.  Debt does not have to rule your life!

Second, I love to help people, as evidenced by my day job as a physical therapist. As a physical therapist, I see where people are physically, listen to their goals, and develop a plan to achieve them.  Not too different from figuring out finances, really.

Third, as I listen to news reports discussing how in debt Americans are, it scares me a little.  This is my way of combating our debt-ridden society.  I want to educate various people, women, millennials, students, really anyone who feels overwhelmed with their situation and has a desire to make a change.

Fourth, as part of controlling of my finances, I find doing DIY projects around the house to be both economical and not as difficult as first thought. I want to share what I have learned with my readers.

Last, I find that being more money conscience I purchase fewer items. I have managed to declutter and organize my home better. I have tips to share of this work in progress!

So, as you can see, I have many reasons for why I blog.  One day I may even make a buck or two from this blog, but in the meantime, I hope you will follow me and find your inspiration to be debt-free!
